Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 10, 2026

1. Introduction

LoopFrame ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at loopframe.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service. By using LoopFrame, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this information to create and manage your account.

Project Data

Your stop motion frames, video clips, audio files, timeline data, and project settings are stored locally in your browser and optionally synced to our cloud storage when you save a project. Project data you publish to the community feed is stored on our servers.

Usage Data

We may collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, browser type, and device information. This data helps us improve the Service. Where possible, analytics data is aggregated or pseudonymous and does not include your project media content (such as frame images, audio clips, or exported videos).

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session. We may also use analytics-related storage (for example, anonymous identifiers) to understand feature usage and product performance. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
  • Store and sync your projects across sessions.
  • Display your published content in the community feed.
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including updates and support.
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve features and performance.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent or at your direction (e.g., publishing to the community feed).
  • With service providers who assist in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting), under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of LoopFrame, our users, or the public.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your project data is primarily stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB and browser storage. When you save to the cloud, data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Project data stored locally remains on your device until you clear your browser data. Cloud-stored projects are retained until you delete them or your account. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and cloud-stored data within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Export your project data at any time.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact.loopframe@gmail.com.

8. Children's Privacy

LoopFrame is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. Users under 18 should have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with Google for authentication. Your use of Google sign-in is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We only receive the information described in Section 2 and do not access your Google account beyond what is needed for authentication. We do not receive access to your Google password or private Google data.

We may also use third-party analytics providers to measure product usage (for example, page visits, feature interactions, and reliability metrics). These providers process pseudonymous technical identifiers and event metadata on our behalf.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
